25. Getting Married<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

On<\/span><\/span> <\/b>April 4, 1987, we got married.
<\/span><\/span>Pastor Jim drove to Philly to perform our wedding.
<\/span>Our union was in military style,
<\/span>Simple, quick, cheap, and full of happy smiles.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first time I danced to Cambodian music,
<\/font>\u201cRum Boun\u201d means dancing around in a circle.
<\/span><\/span>She moved in front of me gesturing with enticing hands.
<\/span>Me, I just watched her moves like I was her biggest fan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our honeymoon week was also in military style.
<\/span><\/span>Our forefathers had never heard of honeymoon week.
<\/span>But they had so many children, and it’s for us to mimic.
<\/font>\u201cYou lock the room and let the Billy goat do his job.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Andrew was our first born son (1988),
<\/span><\/span>All our love was focused on him around the clock.
<\/span>Every night at two the alarm would wake me up
<\/span>To make formula milk for him so mom could sleep.<\/span><\/p>\n

As parents, we got cozy with our child,
<\/span><\/span>All our love centered around our son.
<\/span>Having children makes a house a home,
<\/span>The parents\u2019 love is so sacred and we bond.<\/span><\/p>\n

Matthew was our second son (1990).
<\/span><\/span>Having two boys makes me feel blessed.
<\/span>They played and shouted that mom barely had time to rest.
<\/span>Andrew was more playful while Matthew was sort of quiet.<\/span><\/p>\n

Whenever children are sick,
<\/span><\/span>Parents always feel the heat.
<\/span>Especially when the children have fevers,
<\/span>Sleepless nights checking their temperatures.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDo you want a third child, dear?\u201d I asked.
<\/span><\/span>My wife said, \u201cTwo boys are enough. Please don’t beg.\u201d
<\/span>Andrew was more active and stubborn like me
<\/span>While Matthew was quiet, caring and cuddling.
